2. What data we collect

3. What we don't collect
We do not use advertising pixels or sell your personal data.
4. Third-party services
We use the following providers to operate VoxLingo:
- Cloudflare – hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and AI transcription processing (fallback)
- Resend – transactional email delivery
- Google (Gemini API) – AI transcription processing
- Lemon Squeezy – payment processing and merchant of record
These providers may process personal data on our behalf. Lemon Squeezy may act as an independent data controller for payment transactions.
5. International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
6. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage (e.g. page views and performance).
- No cookies are used
- No individual users are identified
- No personal data is collected
We rely on legitimate interests for this processing.
7. Data retention
- Session and transcription data: up to 12 months
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Contact enquiries: retained only as long as necessary
- IP addresses: retained for up to 7 days for security purposes
We periodically review and delete data that is no longer necessary.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing
- Data portability

9. Data deletion
To request deletion of your account, contact us at hello@voxlingo.net or use the contact form. We will fulfil verified requests within 30 days.
When your account is deleted:
- Your transcription library and personal data are permanently deleted
- Your email address is retained in a suppression list to prevent fraud and accidental reactivation — this is based on our legitimate interests in maintaining service integrity
10. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
11. Children's data
VoxLingo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes
We will update the "last updated" date when material changes are made.
